The case of a vortex pair of opposite circulation approaching a wall from

Two PVs (on the left) approach the wall, then separate
and travel in opposite directions along the wall. (Image PVs for the wall
boundary condition are also shown.)
The symmetry in Figure (6.12) means
so we can use this to represent a single PV and two walls
at right angles, as shown in Figure (6.13). Thus, a
single PV will turn a corner!
