• Coronal Seismology: observations and modelling of MHD waves in the solar atmosphere
  TRACE observations of oscillations.
• Wavelet Analysis: applicability of wavelet analysis to solar observations + development of automated detection codes
• Forward Modelling: development of forward modelling code which allows deduction of observational properties of theoretical models
• Magnetic Reconnection: 3D numerical simulations of the effect of small scale footpoint motions
