AIM:The intention of this workshop is to understand the relationship between the many reported quiet Sun transient events, e.g. explosive events, network flares, blinkers, etc... Are all these types of phenomena just the manifestations of the same event detected by different techniques in different wavelength bands, or are they fundamentally different?Three special workshop data sets will be provided before the workshop and it is intended that participants will start to analyse this data prior to the workshop. Each delegates results from their preliminary analysis will then be discussed at the workshop such that relationships can be identified.
WORKSHOP FORMAT:Four data sets are available for participants to work on prior to the workshop. These will be available to you once you have registered.Participants are encouraged to use their own favourite techniques to analyse the data so that we get a wide variety of results to discuss. During the workshop each participant will be given the opportunity to present their own results, however, preliminary. We hope to find time to not only listen to everyones presentations, but to enable the discussion of their results in small groups, as well as some `hands on' data manipulation if necessary to test ideas!
