- Most probably I will have a look at the data sets of
19-Jun-98, when measurements of CDS, SUMER and MDI have taken
place.
ANALYSIS UNDER TAKEN:
- Hope to get some distribution functions, line widths,
shifts...
RELEVANT PREVIOUS WORK:

In previous work related to these instruments I have studied and
compared the radiometric calibration of SUMER and CDS, using
monthly measurements of quiet Sun disk centre areas.
(Pauluhn et al., Appl. Opt. Vol. 38, 34, 1999,
Pauluhn et al., Appl. Opt. Vol.40, 34, 2001)
Using this large data set of measurements of CDS ad SUMER, I
worked on statistics and optimal distribution functions for quiet Sun
data. (Pauluhn et al., A&A 362, 2000)
Recently, I started to compare MDI measured magnetic flux densities
with the CDS and SUMER measured radiances.
ASPIRATIONS FOR WORKSHOP:
- Specific questions:
- What is "quiet Sun"?
- Partition cells-network ?
- I hope to somehow clarify my picture of "quiet Sun", e.g.
its dynamics, how does it change with solar cycle? ...
